I am very grateful for the compensation I receive from this blog as it helps to provide for my family. It helps us be more self reliant. I try very hard to be sure that my husband and kids are always my first priority. However, maintaining this site is nearly a full time job, and I (and my family) do make sacrifices for it at times. Our time is precious and I am glad that there are ways for me to be compensated for my time while helping and supporting others in becoming more self reliant, prosperous and charitable.
I am compensated in two ways: commission and free product. If you are interested, here are some details about how I am compensated:
I am an independent consultant with Shelf Reliance and include affiliate links to them in most of my posts. If you purchase after clicking on these links, I will be compensated with commission (a percentage of the cost of the product) and (typically) free and discounted product.
I choose to donate 1/2 off all the free product I earn to my local food bank.
I use some of the free product I earn to provide the giveways I have on this blog. I do not currently host giveaways for companies other than Shelf Reliance. I do not recieve free product from any company other than Shelf Reliance for the review of any product.
I currently am not an affiliate with any company other than Shelf Reliance (although that may change in the future).
Most importantly, I will only endorse products or services that I believe from my own experience are worthy of such endorsement. I will not promote or recommend a product I don’t believe in 100%. Every product I link to, mention, or recommend is one I am impressed with. If I wouldn’t use it, or wouldn’t let my kids use it, I will not recommend it to you and your family.
